Rare Hue

_{...because I couldn't seem to bring myself to animate when I was working on this the other time. Now I feel like animating so this is just make up for her sketch trade. ;;;}

These are her OCs, Maria and Masoa. I've always been fond of these characters for some reason even after being told their tragic back story and well, I'm somehow compelled to know more about them in any case. This artwork made me realize how I much of a detail freak I was back then and how I loved artworks with concept. Another CG done for the month . My school life is very very busy. This will be the last CG in a while since most of my to-do list consists of animations now. @u@ Anyway, onward to the explanations:

Why Rare Hue?
_{I'm kind of surprised that the drawing started to form a story of its own while I was drawing it. It's when I decided to make the rose and moon blue. I'm given the impression they hardly see each other like once in a blue moon //hit and Masoa is the moon god and if I'm correct Maria was very fond of the moon for a long time. So, he gives a her a blue rose that means in flower language, You're rare. TL;DR: Rare moments (moon) with a rare person (rose)}


Why is the rose crystallized?
_{I decided this last minute when I was inking it already. So, while watching over the Children of the Sun or maybe after a certain war, Masoa found some shards of Earth and Water crystals lying around. That way, when he forms the rose itself, it can last a long time while providing for itself. I'm not sure if this works in the science/logic of Hauran magic so I guess you could say this is fanfiction.}
